This stunning combination of two of my delicious colorways: Black Licorice & Blush and Bashful, are a match made in heaven for the upcoming mystery shawl knit-along by Stephen West. If you are not into shawls or mystery knit-alongs, this is also a great set for a color blocked sweater, or simply to round out your stash. Add some lace weight mohair and you will have a heavy sport weight or DK equivalent.
This duo comes with two skeins of Black Licorice on the following base:
SIMPLE SYRUP
100g/400yrds
80% super wash merino
20% nylon
and two skeins of Blush and Bashful on the following base:
CRYSTALLINE FINGERING
100g/438yrds
75% super wash merino
20% nylon
5% stellina (silver/gold sparkle)
This yarn is hand-dyed so each skein is unique and may vary slightly from skein to skein.
This is a natural material and requires a little extra care. It should be hand washed by soaking your item in tepid water with a soap for wool. Gently squeeze the water from your handmade item, never wringing it, and place in a towel and roll up to remove the excess. Lay flat to dry.
Some colors may bleed, depending upon the ph balance of your water. To be cautious, you could add a color catcher sheet to your wash water.
Our Merino comes from Argentina and Uruguay. It is sourced from many farms of varying sizes, from smaller to larger farms that do not practice muesling.
